How can I tell the turbo I purchased is in good nick ?

As above , I bought a K03S turbo , but just want to make sure its in a decent condition before fitting it. How much shaft play should there be etc ?

Shouldn't really be any if it's in perfect condition. How many miles has it done?

Also check the blades for foreign object damage and check the wheels spin freely

I'd say I can move the shaft around 1-2mm - other than that yeah no visible sign of wear/damage ?

check for cracks around the wastegate penny.

There should be a little play in the shaft.
