Hi,

I'm trying to remove the inner panel of my leon front door to install sound insulation to the outer skin.

I have removed the plastic door card, then all of the bolts holding the silver inner metal panel on, but it seems to be stuck around the lock area....does anybody know how to undo whatever is holding it on?? The rest of the panel is nice and loose!

It's the window runner don't drill the rivets or the runner will detach from the metal plate
It's an absolute pig to get off if it's not 100 percent necessary leave it alone

If your having to remove, make sure you secure the window glass in place with tape in the fully up position, else it's a damn nightmare trying to get the glass back in the window carrier frame[:@]

If you don't drill the rivets, then you need to follow the instructions to remove the door lock along with the skin. That includes the handle, lock, triple square bolts on the side of the door, etc. Once all that is done then the panel should come off with the door lock still attached.
