Hi from a new member and owner of a MK3 LEON SC 184 2.0 TDI - fantastic car.

I have numerous several scratches on my instrument cluster. Does anyone know how to remove the black trim from around the cluster? This will enable me treat the cluster with a scratch remover compound more freely, since some of them are very close to the trim making it difficult to access.

I think you have to remove the 2 screws holding the top steering wheel column trim in place and unlatch the rubber/plastic trim that connects from the column trim to the cluster surround - then I am stuck. It looks like it just held in place by spring loaded locating lugs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for you help

Sorted thanks - bought a acrylic scratch remover kit and it worked amazingly well. Saved me £922 (price quoted to fit a new cluster !!!!!!!!!!)
