hi..i decided to tint the rear lights and teh side indicators and the S badges on my car....this required using speicalist light tinting spray, and then putting extra laquer ontop..

except that on one of the rear lights, whilst i was applying the laquer, its seemed to 'blob' and so i tried to remove it but it just made it worse:cry:..so in my moment of panic..i called my uncle and swapd the light with his ibiza...and then tinted his one..and put it on my car:whistle:

i need to remove teh laquer and the tint..i have tried using white spirit, but it didnt seem to do the job...does anyone know or have any ideas:help:

i have to say though..i think the tints look really good:p....especailly the side repeaters...;)

thanks, med

any solvent strong enough to take the paint off will melt the plastic too

try some paste called rubbing compound, that should remove the paint and not harm the light lens unless you rub TOO hard

you can buy DE-tinting spray in the same type or bottle just reverses the tint back to normal the ibiza has clear lens so it will be near impossible to get ridof dried laccur!!!!
why didnt you rub the blobbed rear lamp down with wet and wet to get it smooth and even then apply anouther thin coat of laccur??

anyway do you have pics of these lamps??
