I had mine for 6 till the other week, it was a 51 plate the same as Rob dons but in arctic grey. would have kept it for soo much longer if it hadnt crashed, best cat for reliability and space as well. :(

i've had my 04 LCR for just over two years now and despite blowing the gearbox on it (FMIC fund gone!) i love it to bits. going from a 93 2.0 mondeo to this was a huge step in the right direction. :) i had a small issue a few weeks back and the missus said if it was going to be an expensive repair then we'd have to sell it.................. i was getting ready to pack her bags for her!

I've had my LCR since new fo 5 years

When i first saw one I was in no doubt that I would own one, I was originally looking at an Ibiza cupra R when I saw the broucher in the dealership. The car on the front cover of the broucher looked like it was a yellow/gold colour. It turns out it was ALOT more yellow than I expected in the skin which I didn't like so much. I had a 106 GTI before it in black so black was the only colour for me.
I spent 6 month researching and test driving various other cars to try and prove/disprove tht the LCR was the best option. I drove the S3, Civic type R, 147 GTA all very good in their own rights but didn't hold a candle to the LCR. The civic sounded good and felt okay, the S3 looked okay drove well but was £26,000 and didn't have much space, the 147 had it all but the price and the breakdownableity of it scared me off. I breifly thought about a focus RS but 3 doors didn't suit me.
So it came down to the LCR
The fuel economy was good, internal space was good, boot space was good. It looked and still does the dogs bolloks, it sounded good, has very good build quality, paint work was very good with galvanised body.....what more do I need to say

The tuneability, even though its still standard map after 5 years.

I am the first owner and will be the only owner of this car. It now starting to feel a little loose but am changing out the bushings this year ready for track days.
As above this car when it stops being my families car will be my track/road car for fun.

Lovin the LCR

im on 2weeks at the moment with a cupra but do plan on keeping this 1 for a while, i say that with every car i have but if sum1 offers the right money anything is for sale, thats y ive had nearly 30 cars in the 8 years i been driving

Had a LCR for 4 and bit years a leon cupra for 2 years before that great cars . Just changed in the last few weeks now drive a evo IX still miss the LCR awesome car. just felt it was time to move on

I've had my 20vt Sport since June 2001, from new in fact. I owned apx 8 cars before the leon
and this is by far the best. I have had test drives in loads of cars, the only one to compare was the new Golf GTI (but thats 20k worth). Done 105k in the my Leon, 70k of these following a Jabba remap to 220bhp. No pobs other than the coils and minor stuff. I had a drive in the new leon (FR) but it did nothing for me.

I love the Leon, its comfortable, quick and reliable. Just wish it did more MPG (average 29mpg)

Byeeeeeee

had mine 1 year 5 months and its great love the power of the tdi
not the fastest leon around but to cruise at 66 to the gallon at 60mph on a long journey if ace
she looks the nuts, drives the nuts so ill be keeping it till she done at least 100k only 4 years lol

had my LCR for 4 years and 46k on the first of june and its never put a foot wrong, last month i was very close to trading it in against an RS4 or an M3 but with rising tax and fuel costs it makes sence to keep it and in all fairness its a perfect all rounder.

without parting with a load more cash i can't think of anything else that is fast, economical, comfy and i can get all the family in and head off on holiday.

must say i had a full valet and machine polish and it looks like new again just thinking about a remap and some koni FSD's to refresh our relationship.

ive had a leon cupra then LCR for 5 years. why, well i cant see anything else for sensible money thats as nice to drive.
Its also hard to fault its practicality. 5 doors, hatch back, good room, etc etc so you cant even get fed up with it being impractical.

Well, I had my LC for 3.5 years and only changed it a month ago. After spending some cash on it (Remap, exhaust, DV etc.) I was going to sell last year, but couldn't do it.

Before buying the LC I was after a Mk4 Golf, but could not find one that was 5dr, with a decent mileage and history for a sensible price. So I took the SEAT and looking back made a great decision, as the Mk4 Golfs were not great.

However as I paid it outright in cash, I felt it was time to change whilst I still got good money for it, my funds and salary changed so me and the missus deceided we should update it. Now the proud owner of a Mk5 Golf GTI, I had to decide quickly as the car was highly specced and after some long negiotations got a great deal. Was sorry to see the Leon go but and excellent replacement, the extra premium does show in the quality and the handling is excellent, better than the LC was (but was 5 years old however!!)

I looked at the Mk2 Leon but just couldn't warm to the design. A Civic Type R looked good but only a 3dr and the Focus ST again just didn't do it for me and the A3 was just silly money!!

I think we'll be like Junior Senior - only owner, since Sept 2002 (well technically not ours until Sept 2005 as lease car) & intend to be the only owner. Leon Cupra, Black.

85k miles onwards, still looks spotless inside, just some wear and tear work required recently (brake pads, wheel bearing etc) so not costing us much at the mo, touch wood. Not cost us much so far.

Stutters a bit now and again (don't they all) but I'd guess it would be worth £5k - for that kind of money and with the trust we have in it working then nothing else out there comes close. It works well as our second car and we see no need to change it)

Changing the stereo (to a Becker) is the best mod we've done (not bothered about chipping it) and it still feels a good solid car. The beast is not for selling!

Had mine 7 years and covered 66k and still going strong,Best car by far for me.
Also spent lots of time and money on it so i just can't part with her just yet, anyway will get f***all for it now.So just run the it until it goes bang.

Nearly 4 years, done 33,000 miles, loved every second, but sadly the time has come to sell! :(

Nearly 3 years, from new.
No other ar car touch it for performance/economy/practicality/price/looks/reliability IMHO. Will be keeping it for a good while yet..

Iv had my LCR 16 months now and love it, best car iv had. Didnt really like the colour when i got it, but now i thinks its the best colour

04 LCR, owned for 18months and it is still so awesome. Only thing that is trying to prize it away from me is that Tw*t Mr Brown - which I will then move on to bikes for my kicks!
