Hi, currently running Leon FR TFSI with forge twintake induction kit, forge dump valve, miltek cat back and stage 1 remap .

Thinking about getting full exhaust system and stage 2 remap, been told to expect maybe 280bhp, and 300ft of torque.

Would standard clutch be ok with the extra power?? Runs fine now with 255hp, 278ft torque

The clutch in the early cars is more hardy than the clutch (same part number) fitted to the CDL cars though.

Its not so much power but torque and driving style that kills clutches.

So should be okay with a good stage 2 map.
Cheers lads

Hmmmmm i wouldn't be so sure, you should get it roaded so you have an exact figure, it's only 40 quid for print outs! etc

I will soon mate, waiting to get the updated REVO map first before doing it. So far all the print outs I have seen from everyone running the 2+ file has ranged from about 360 to 380 depending on rollers. I can tell you though the car is quick.

Mine running 330 with 380ftlb of torque and my clutch dont like 5th and 6th when it goes to 5500 revs.. slips..

Blade's old K1 (Nibbles now owns it) roaded at 386 once on the old REVO code, not sure what rollers though

im currently 261hp and 300ft lb. been like it for only 500 miles mind! i dont see there being an issue any time soon, i do give it a boot full now and again, but majority of my driving is just bimbling around!

a sachs upgraded clutch is good for 405ish ftlb! so i would have thought stock was circa the 300 area, but people running alot more, and having no issues, and people running in the region and having issues! i think 90% of it is down to the user and how they decide to apply it!

bluefin stage 1 goosed my original clutch. Not sure how it had been driven previously since it was second hand. I got the sachs uprated clutch which is good for upto 480 Nm.
