Has anyone else tried this too? I have ordered the B and C glossies from Dave but from past experience of removing the doorcard, it is a PITA and i dont want to start something and find its easy to damage the rubber lining s or something. The completed pic does look amazing tho.

Just done this today and noticed that on my facelift model there are not 7 torx screws that need to be removed to get the door card completely off. It seems as if the window regulator is stuck to the door card ( strange stuff). To make it easier is just to remove the lock from the door using the 2 torx screws (found by the locking mechanism gap) and then just to fit the wire from the new door pillar. Saves having to faff around for ages trying to get it resolved by squeezing your hands into the gap and cutting the hell out of your hands like what happened to me on the first door

Hi just a quick question the B pillars, the ones between the front and back door are theyjust 4 screws each and then they come off?

Are they behind the seat belt holders?

Cheers

I've just done this on my facelift mk2, and I have to say the rear handles weren't nearly as bad as I was expecting.

I would definitely agree that unbolting the locks from the door is the right way to go with these (on a FL at least - I'm not sure what the setup is on the pre-FL cars).

I neglected to take photos though. Next dry weekend I get I'll try to remember to take the door card off again and snap a couple of photos.

I would also like to see the photos, the photo's in the guide are gone as I think they would have been deleted from the host site. B pillar is straight forward it's the c pillar I'm concerned about

I just replace the pillars B and C yesterday.
It's not hard as it looks:
