How to soften a FR TDI

With all you lot stiffening up and lowering your FR's this may sound a bit weird. I am extremely happy with the car (despite Seat UK customer service, or lack of it) but need to soften the ride for the sake of my back, has anyone any experience of doing this, is just a set of dampers enough or will springs also need changing ?
I don't want it to be limo like, still want to retain a reasonably taught ride but just need to take the edge off of the firm ride. All suggestions apreciated, and suppliers names also would be helpful.

What about putting some springs on it off a Golf or Skoda? They seem softer to drive and may fit straight on?

Thanks for the contacts and advise guys, looks like the way I will go. i'ts got that bad I am now booked to see a back specialist (and I have never had a bad back until three weeks ago when i brought thr FR ) just goes to show what one will put up with to have some driving fun. Unfortunately it will have to go to the dealer for a warranty windscreen as it has a distortion in the glass, but i will fit the koni's myself.

I would consider changing the springs for some eibach ones aswell even if you dont want to lower it reason being that eibach springs are progressive so are a little softer initialy especialy in the straights but then stiffen in the bends whereas standard springs are linear so are just hard all the time.

black leon is dropped by 40mm on eibach springs and dampers, the silver is standard soon to be koni fsd with eibach springs dropping by 30mm

Thanks once again guys, Awsome GTI seem the best price for the Koni's but will have to ponder on the springs as I often drive down farm tracks and across fields so need the ground clearance.
