Hi guys,
After some help and advice.
Unfortunately the time has come where the ibiza cupra tdi has let go. The turbo has been making some nasty whistling and screaching noises and the clutch finally let go last month. The clutch was slipping for a while until it finally the clutch pedal went to the floor and didn't come back up again lol. Upon closer inspection I have noticed oil leaking from the bottom of the gearbox, so I suspect this is the master cylinder within the gearbox? Also I looked into the turbo slightly to find quite alot of oil in the boost pipes. So looks like at least a new clutch/flywheel, turbo rebuild and master cylinder for gearbox is required.
After taking some time to think about what to do with the car, I have decided I would like to keep the car and go down the route of hybrid turbo and aftermarket clutch/flywheel.
Does anyone have any recommended and well known turbo specialists in the Leeds area that you advise I take it to? Rather than just having the turbo rebuilt I would like to have internals and worked to increase power further more. Also any recommendations on a decent heavy duty clutch/flywheel? I notice Awesome now do there own aftermarket clucth/flywheel. Anyone had any experience with these and know what sort of power they are capable of running comfortably in order to obtain reliability?
One downside is the car has done around 135,000 miles now so not sure if going down the hybrid route is such a wise idea :-/ lol
Any advice and help would be very much appreciated.
Cheers
Elliott
