Is it normal for a whistling sound from a MD376. boost is good and strong. Also have a 2.5" decat and exhaust, and fmic with alloy tubing, will this make it more pronounced?

Hi trebor,

So you opted for a Turbo Dynamics hybrid after all, well I hope it goes well for you.

The hybrid will whistle more on boost, especially over 18 psi, and your uprated pipework will amplify the noise more. Check out this thread for more detailed info: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=313066

Yes, as I need the car everyday, so I couldn't wait for a turbo come from abroad and also do extra work on getting the inlet right and getting a downpipe to fit.

Thanks for your offer though :)

If I had more time and didn't need the car on a daily basis I would have taken you up on your offer.

Hi trebor,

It's all good, no worries, I wasn't making anything on it so it's not like I've lost out or something.

I just think that a GTB would give better power than what you've got, and that hybrids are so 2009, but it's your call.

I notice Turbo Dynamics are still pushing their hybrids at 10% discount.... I wonder how many they'll be selling soon once the GTBs really start hitting the market and people see just how good they are compared to hybrids.

I would really have loved a GTB turbo as well :(
