Hi guys

Oh dear, as a result of me sliding the rear end into a curb, I have ruined the rear axle beam and need a new one:cry:. Thankfully the stub axle/brakes/wheel tyre are fine, even the ARB is saved:wtf:

If anybody has any advice or know best place to purchase a new rear axle beam then please let me know

cheers

should be plenty around at the scrappies. I've seen a few on ebay in the past. they are suprisingly cheap iirc.

yeah unfortunatly none up on the Bay at moment.

Howver, just had a call from a guy up in Carlisle from a-z carparts offering me a rear axle beam off a written off (due to floods) Leon for £125 + £25 p&p.

what you reckon? I think thats pretty good considering new I'd be looking at £300

sounds a fair price to me. lucky our cars share the same platform as one of the most common cars on the rd (golf mk4)
