I'm interested in purchasing a new Ibiza 2.0 TDI FR. I know the list price is approximately £17.5k OTR, but I was wondering what I could expect to get that figure down to at a dealer? I'm looking to take out a finance plan, if that makes a difference to their bargaining.

I got mine with panoramic sunroof for around 15,500... took about 3 hours of haggling though

I got mine for about 15, but got a fair bit of extras free and the no VAT deal helped the price down too :D
I noticed the VAT free offer on their website. Does that apply to the FR as well then? Did you get the full 20% off? And what extras did they throw in for you? Oh, and are you on finance with them?

Sorry about all the questions :p

Yeah it should apply to the FR, unless they've changed it in the last few months. VAT was at 17.5% when i got mine, but i did get the full 17.5 of the car, and the extras i did pay for.
Well i didn't pay for any of the extras i wanted, so got bluetooth, convienience pack, paint colour, and parking sensors- think that's everything, but i was pretty happy!

Yep i'm on finance with them, was all really straight forward to setup, and not at all badly priced either :D

Hope this helps!

dealers prefer it when you take out finance in todays market as they get more comission

My FR was 13100 I think. It has leather interior and panoramic sunroof as extras. Not vat deal :)

Edit - Totally wrong, see next post by me.

Doh. Maybe not. My old 1.6 TDi £13100 I think. Just checked, my FR was £15,723. I try to not pay too much attention to the actual cost of something. I'd rather look at it as an £N amount per month as it seems cheaper.

cost to change is the number that means everything

my cupra cost £1'006'000 but the dealer gave me £1'000'000 for my p/x so i only had £6000 to pay...my p/x was a fiesta btw (very rare car ) :p

(joke btw ;))

Compared to my 1.6l SC Oil Burner and the 2.0l FR Oil Destroyer, it only cost me £60... a month.

Mine (5dr 2.0 TDi) was £14438 including con pack. Bought it before VAT deal and delivered 2 oct.
