Only ever seen one in the UK, which was a LHD import, and was sold back on to the continent IIRC :(

saw a few on the production line and a yellow petrol one on autotrader once and a tdi 150 came over to track day (curborough?)

yea i did it in around 14 at 95mph and i had a lot of **** in my car im hoping to do it in less than 14 next week mine is standard apart from the exhaust is straight through and air filter

be interesting to see as so many regard a vr6 conversion as too nose heavy - ideal then for 1/4 mile

i'd have said if guessing for a mk2
8v mid-high 16's
16v low 16's-high 15's
vr6 low 15's-high 14's

not much in that a decent track or a bit of spin and a gearchange wouldn't level out, would be good to see some base standard runs listed

i done 14,9 at 98 mph like i said it will go faster ill get the print out and put it up.

n/a i dont think ur get much faster than 14.5-14.3 tbh but u never know im going up the pod to give it ago lol

not quite new, off a 24v vr6 with 140k that siezed up. i think you should investigate the noise further before changing anything. could be one of the chains shown below :

its top end im a mechanic iv had a mate look and he said top end and from chain side so its easyer to do tensioner first iv had mine out and its easy to push in do u no a bit about them ?

a little bit as ive got a 24v engine in my garage that im stripping all bits off. ill take all the chain parts off when i get time but may take a while as im really busy this week. which part you want to try first?

tensioner do u no were it is ? if chain is on could u see when u take rocker cover off how tight chain is near tensioner is thanks andy

its not the same tensioner system as the 12v but theres no play in the chain unless you push the tensioner down.

quite common on vr's for the chain guide to snap, causing the chain to go loose. best get it sorted soon, could lead to allsorts of issues. especially if any debris cloggs the oil pick up etc etc. its a fair job to do but easy enough. ive done a few, plus the new gear from vag is upgraded :D
