Came across this when looking around for decent deals. I wasn't aware this model even existed with a petrol 150 TSi? Sounds cheap too.

That's a damn good offer.

My cupra deal was good with no VAT but christ £4K off an FR is impressive. If that deal had been around when I bought my car I would of been persuaded to get an FR to save 4K!

No the tsi fr has been around since the start.
Effectively a cupra with 30 less bhp and different trim styles.

Should look.into it tho. Should be some room for haggle aswell.

Really? The bits I got through at work were suggesting it was a new model! Haha

Having said that I'm fairly new to SEAT stuff - so I was none the wiser :) lol

Not in 5 door though, you could only get the 5 door as the diesel.

But if you go onto the website and go onto the car configurator you still can't configure a 5 door TSI FR? :S

This is a 5dr, new car as far as I can see all FR 5drs were diesels til now?

Odd to so severely discount a brand new model.

I'll have to trawl over my press clippings

Available as TSi in other markets (not Ireland or Cyprus though) - and seemingly from launch, or at least a long time.

Nothing on the UK press site, nor (obviously) anything on the UK sales site either.

Wonder if they've cocked up, or SEAT have bought a batch of these super cheap as run out models

Does seem very odd, bargain though. :-o

Tried to do a quote for insurance for the mrs, but obviously it's not listed on any of the insurance sites :cartman:

Looks awesome, must be a new model for the UK. I'd certainly have one, £12,995 is a bargain IMO!

EDIT: Thinking about it, could it just be the wrong picture? The OPs link doesn't actually specify whether its the SC or 5dr...

Pretty sure it's illegal to offer a 'sale' price of anything, without having offered it for sale at the full price for (at least) 30 days

So I wonder how Autoworld are doing it

That picture has an EU plate on it so could be a **** up with the image on their side. Maybe give them a call and check if it is definately a 5 door model or is it the SC.

mmmm still very misleading and not too sure how old that write up on the site is. I agree the FR DOES come in 3 AND 5 versions also WITH 2 engine options as they say but the 3 door is petrol and the 5 door is diesel........ I would still make a call to a dealer to confirm though. Strange that there was no bigger introduction if it has indedd changed.

Even on the SEAT UK specifications it specifically states the TSI is SC only.

I think the dealer just used the wrong photo for the advert.
