Ibiza Bocanegra, Cruise Control not working

Hello,
I have a 59 reg Seat Bocanegra. My Cruise Control does not work. I have dismantled the indicator stalk controls and cleaned them. Checked all brake lights and they function as they should. Yes, I have the switch on top of the stalk set to on (even flicked it to off then on). This has not worked since I crashed into the back of someone, I hit a pool of water and hit them at approximately 15 mph. Car was repaired, but due to working away after getting car back 2 years ago, I could not claim on warranty of the repairs carried out.

Any idea's on what I can check next? Or is it a case of paying a garage to scan it and try and find the fault that way?

At a guess I'd reckon that you need to get that car scanned using a VW Group specific scan tool so that all possible codes are revealed/explained. Maybe then you will find what is causing this as the cruise control needs everything else that it works with to be fault free to avoid problems.
