Sachs do a good system from all the reviews on here, but mine's standard engine wise as I've concentrated on getting it to go round corners properly before giving it any more power. Yes, you can get a Helix, but it'll rattle like anything as they replace the DMF with a single mass one as part of it.

Seat Sport front strut brace
Whiteline rear ARB
KW V1 coilovers
10/15mm (can't remember which and too lazy to hunt in the garage for the box) spacers on the rear.

Definately. I chuck it at a corner and it just goes round.

Only had mine for just over a week, averaging 46.8MPG (worked out on calculator)

Very good brakes, handles ok for a standard car, no problems so far, only thing that bugs me is the road noise.

REALLY tempted with a re-map as a bit more power is always nice and its supposed to improve MPG???

Just not sure if the standard clutch can take the extra torque???

Girlfriend has a Fabia VRS running approx 175-180bhp and standard clutch has been ok for 16000 miles so far but Ibiza would be running approx 195-200bhp with a custom code map.

How does the mapped fabia compare to the standard cupra tdi in terms of performance ?

I seem to recall that my old Revo'd Ibiza Sport (PD130) felt faster than my current Cupra, but I'm not sure whether it really was at the top end. Then again I did sell it over two years ago so it's not really a fair comparison.

The Fabia feels more like a petrol engine, alot smoother than the cupra, performance wise they feel around the same, not much in it at all, the Fabia is much more economical averaging 10-12MPG more than the cupra, the Fabia is 2 years newer and done 30k miles less but never expected such good MPG, we never owned the Fabia before the remap so not sure what MPG it did then but the previous owner says the remap definitely improved MPG.

Really tempted to remap the cupra, thinking of giving p-torque a try, anyone used them before???

Helix is the same design as Sachs so you can uprate just the drive disc or pressure plate or remove the DMF and fit a SMF or any mixture of the three.

Fair enough. Most people I've heard of who've done it got a SMF instead hence the generalisation.

My clutch slipped when it was running standard power, no problems since Ive had the sachs organic one fitted tho!

Had a Custom Custom Phase 1 on my Cupra TDI now for 9k and no clutch slip. Their is no problem booting it in any gear from what I have experience, the only issue occurs with the DMF if you boot it when the revs are to low. For example in 3rd gear its not a good idea to boot it below 2 k as the DMF vibrates like hell. You can still accelerate pretty quickly without an issue just don't floor it. Just make sure your in the right gear if playing around

MPG wise i'm hitting 48mpg from every tank with 15k on the clock. Seems to be creeping up all the time too.

My car has done over 50k now and is on the original clutch so my plan is to put some money to one side for a replacement before i have a remap done just in case, i'm guessing a new clutch will be around the £600 mark?
