Ibiza fault codes P0106 and P0170

Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone could diagnose or help with my issue. My 07 Ibiza decided to play games with me the other night. Driving steadily at around 30-40 and my engine management light and epc light came on. Complete loss of power and acceleration from throttle even with pedal to floor. Had the car hooked up to an AA diagnostics and given P0106 and P0170 fault code.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having exactly the same problem! Did you fix this? Or anyone know what may be wrong?

I've had my ecu repaired, replaced MAP sensor and all the wiring has been tested too. It's really annoying me!

Hi

I had my map sensor cleaned and everything was fine for the 1st week. Last week i was driving from my home in Somerset to Birmingham, the engine management light came on again, but this time had no loss of power. On my return, a family friend hooked the car back up to his diagnostics computer on his recovery vehicle and showed just one of the fault codes of P0106 which was the MAP sensor again. We are now changing the sensor and hoping this will do the trick. If it doesn't then we'll be back to the drawing board again.

Could it be that you have a duff sensor? Did they test it before fitting it?
