If you have Good pressure from your regular tap you could try a Gilmour foamaster 2,i've been using one for 4+ years and still going great. Never going to be the same as a foam lance but certainly cheaper (and easier) than using a powerwasher each time. Find the foam doesnt cling as long as a proper lance but its more than enough for how dirty my car gets

That seems good, i've been looking at snow foam for a while. But without a pressure washer i didn't wanna invest.

How can i find out the pressure from a hose?

Good pressure washers are only £45-55!

Look up the Nilfisk C110! It's a favourite on detailing world, I got mine for £55 on Amazon (patio cleaner bundle so has extras).

One of the best investments I made :p When it's too cold/damp to wash it properly, a quick foam and pressure wash works wonders.

I also use Magifoam with the HD Foam lance from Autobrite; couldn't recommend more!

P.S Foam master Gilmour thing is rubbish. You need the foam to stick for atleast 10-15mins to dwell in order to lift the dirt. Foam master foam falls right off....

I just placed an order for the same set you seem to have bought with the patio attachments etc. When i was looking through what's included it says a foamer? I'm guessing this isn't good enough to use snow foam with?

It's a pretty standard 'foam' unit, which just disperses normal shampoo (well...whatever you put in it!).

It's pretty crap and definitely not good enough for proper snow foam! It's just soapy water that falls off...proper snow foam is like shaving foam and sticks to the car for 10-20 minutes!

Thanks for the reply fella! Thought as much, may be worth using for the standard shampoo stage after the snow foam then i guess :) Can't wait to get my hands on the set up!

To be honest, it's pretty useless. Use the 2 bucket method instead, as it reduces the possibility of scratches. By spraying shampoo and just using a sponge/mitt without rinsing causes dirt to build up on the sponge/mitt and scratch the surface.

Snow foam for a pre wash, then 2BM is the safest method.
