indicators driving me mad

I had an issue with my front left indicator recently. I thought the bulb had gone because it wasn't working and when i signalled left, the indicators flashed quickly. I checked the bulb and it seemed fine though. i put it back in and the indicator worked fine again for a few days then stopped and the left signal flashed quicker again. I've noticed also that turning the steering wheel when indicating sometimes stops it from happening???

Has anyone got an idea as to what could be causing it? Could it be a knackered connection on the stalk?

It's the bulb connection, quite a common fault.
Make the connections better

ah well looks like i'm spending some time tomorrow with some sand paper cleaning the contact on the bulb holders. Thanks for the advice.

check the wires that go to the holder is'nt twisted up as mine was and it was pulling the wire out of the connector. its another great design that goes wrong

I seem to have the same problem, but on my driver side - I reset the front bulb and all seems fine, but then after a few uses it goes back to quick flashing with the front light not coming on (side and rear fine).

Did you sort your problem out lee woolet?

Try a new indicator bulb and/or bulb holder.
