have you accidently disconnected you maf sensor?
if not how long has the filter been on for? as if there is oil on the filter this sometimes makes the maf sensor to not function.
failing this VAGCOM is your friend....willl tell you whats wrong.

i have disconected some plug from standard air filter as there isn a place for it on the new one but on the site i have found a BMC Air Flow Sensor Connector so im thinkin it might be that what u think?
This "plug" is it an electrical plug or a hose? Have a feeling you may have removed your MAF completely... 
yer thats the one, i emailed the bmc sight last night and they said i need a different one a special version so gonna hve to sell this one and buy this more expensive version i think, :\ unless u guys have any ideas ?

Do you have a camera phone maybe?
I can see no reason why you'd have the MAF disconnected, with that filter, but you need it in place.
The only reason I can think that you may not have both fitted, is that you may need some silicone hosing to be able to join the case of the BMC, with the case of the MAF. (ie a joiner) As at the mo, both connections on the MAF and th BMC will be plastic so wont fit together?

Thats because the codes need to be cleared.
Either with Vagcom, or by disconnecting the battery for a few mins.
If you fill in your proflie properly with your location, maybe someone local to you, would be able to give you a hand with Vagcom.

there wont be no1 in my area but i ave put it up, and txt a mate to see if i cld use his works but dont no if allowed, how long u have to disconect battery for?

ha sorry dont realise i doin it, my mate said to pop down to his work tomorrow and see if he can do it for free, and hopefully that will be my prob sorted, would the MAF plug affect my TCS light? as thats on too
