Hi Guys Just Curious I Just Got A Leon FR 140 BHP Version 2012 And I Want To Get A Induction Kit For It K&N Pipercross ETC Dont Want To Get The Wrong One Will A 2006 Onwards Be Ok For It Also It Only Says 170BHP I Cant See Any 140BHP Versions Any Help Would Be Great Dont Want To Waste My Money LOL Thanks

An induction kit is a waste of money tobehonest all they do is make noise really and when mapped I'd say they give a little better throttle response.
My slef I'd look at other people's set ups for ideas me haveing the Ibiza Cupra tdi I can not say I know what the lay out is in the pd 140 engine bay to help u out with a custom set up.

I'd just buy a uprated panel filter my slef and I'd say green stuff would be the best make if I had to choose

I think in case of Cupra-CupraR case induktion kit is a good way to delete the ugly engine-cover with filter inside... your engine thanks for it (I think)

But if you have filter apart (like TDI 170cv I had) yes...waste fo money

I'm in two minds...do I want my induction noise back and get a p-flo for the upcoming CR170, or keep it standard with possibly a new filter to save (a few pennies) at service time?

All in all the intake is pretty useless up to stage2 I would think.

The engine cover does protect your poor coil packs on the petrol cars. I'd rather have it all covered with a nice cut cover to compliment the p-flo/evoms/etc

whats the difference m8 between fr and cr probably sounds stupid lol but im new to the seats

CR = Common Rail [Diesel]
So there's a FR TFSI (petrol) and a FR CR170 (diesel). So CR just the type of Diesel engine I'm getting in my next FR. You probably have a CR140, unless they still do PDs...

Having put our TFSI back to stock today, we really miss the induction noise so were getting the p-flo again for the CR :)

why am i seeing a lot of comments elsewhere stating that my FR140 which has cost me just over 20.000 isnt a proper FR in my mind you got two the FR and The FR+ as from 2012 same as before you had the Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6 And The 1.9 Version So Thats like saying the 1.6 GTi wasnt a proper GTi

Tough one. FR used to be a model, and later more of a trim. So now you can have 1.2 FRs. So, people from the old-school thought see the 2.0 TFSI FR and the PD/CR170 FRs as the "real" FRs.

Now they've come with the FR+, which is what the "real" FR used to be.
It's confusing but yes you DO have a proper >= 2011 FR. Which is not in the same class as the FRs before it became a trim....

...I've confused even myself but hopefully it helps.

And I don't mean any disrespect to the people that buy these FR's your doing the right thing your getting a decent car with really nice looks, but to everyone on here, you have Sport with an FR bodykit on. It is Seat that has diluted the FRness not the customers so I blame them, imagine just before the mk7 was launched they made bluemotion golfs with gti bodykits on, it wouldnt sit well with our vw cousins would it, but you'd be daft not to buy one lol.

And for the car geek record, no its not the same as 1.6 gti was always a gti from creation, it wasn't just given some extra letters a few years down the line to sell more.
