i have recently bought a mk2 2.0 16v . can anyone tell me what induction kit is best for the car as there is loads of pipes comimg off my air box and i dont know what there is a few i dont know what they do?

ive just bought a performance panel filter (Green) im leaving my airbox and looking out for a cheap spare so i can drill.. and keep a nice standard one.
im running a custom fit ramair maxiflow,id only put an open air filter on if you were running different cams,and head work.
very nice! how many pipes come off the standard airbox as ive got a viper that looks like it would fit
1 for the isv,1 for the crank breather,1 that comes from a valve in the airbox and back to the throttle body.also the intake temp sensor?
with mine,i put a breather filter on the isv,plumbed the crank breather back into the inlet pipe,made a hole in the inlet pipe for the temp sensor and blocked of the

ive got a BMC CDA and it sounds the balls 
nice and easy to fit, again youll need a breather filter and youll have to plumb the temp sensor in somewhere

whats a breather filter? are they the small ones? also wheres the temp sensor, i've ordered a Powertec Induction Kit, comes with all the bits just need to know are they easy to fit, i've got the 1.8 16v engine and i ordered the 2.0l 16v induction kit, are they the same bore

Right the best one for the 2.0l GTI cupra sport is the K + N 57i induction kit gives you 4 - 5 BHP, good stuff check this website out

yep. i've got the 57i, with a cold air Feed coming up through the front splitter ( comes with the induction kit, but you can put it where you want, i suggest splitter!) and my word it made a huge improvement, having cold air shoved into the engine at storm force 10! you can feel the power all the way through the rev range, and makes a really nice whistling sound. infact some people think i've got a turbo under my bonnet, as it whistles nicely!, combines well with a decent exhaust as well! get one.
