Insurance company rip-off!!!

Strange you say that much about the spoiler, when I asked my insurance about lowering my car less than 5cm they said this;

There will be an additional premium of £30.16 from now till your renewaldate to note this modification. This would be spread over your monthlypayments. Please note our standard part's clause would apply. Please adviseus if you have your suspension lowered under 5cm.

Which makes yours sound ridiculous!

Yes I was expecting DL to quote about £50 extra for the spoiler (max). From reading posts on here I didn't see any horror stories about minor mods and insurance premium hikes... Never even considered anything like this happening...

Wont make that mistake again!

Should've just kept quite about the spoiler and told them it was on it when you bought it.

Before you ask, I have no idea about my insurance with the map, as it's on the company

Would be wary of those so called "tuning boxes" mate, they promise great power gains and increased MPG but all thats inside os nothing more impressive than a 50p resistor, don't expect much from it seriously! On the plus side you can always remove it quickly if you need to if you know what I mean. As for the spoiler, that's madness for all it is! The spoiler's tiny for cryin out loud!! lol I had to check mine was still there earlier coz I couldn't see it

Yeah I know what you mean - the cheap tuning boxes I wouldn't entertain. But there are a few quite sophisticated ones that do a lot more than just fool the turbo sensor.

In any case it's a bit of a moot point now - won't be getting any engine mods done until I sort out the insurance situation. May have to wait till the current policy expires.

Still waiting to fully calm down before making some phone calls! lol
