Hi there, I will be picking up my Seat ibiza fr 1.2 tsi 2012 model at the weekend, I am 19 year old and have held my license for over a year with no bumps (touch wood), I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for insurance, I found a quote for £1800 full comp but cant seem to find it now and that was with RAC, all help appreciated.

Cheers Eth

Try gocompare, moneysupermarket and confused.com
You'll probably find that admiral, Bell, elephant and another swap places for the cheapest quote.
When answering the questions say you wouldn't mind a black box thingy, this will probably result in Bell giving you the cheapest quote.
Then ring admiral and ask them to match Bells quote, they should do as its all the same company... this gets you Bell's bargain quote through admiral so you don't end up getting the black box fitted.

Using this method I Ended up with a cheaper renewal this year despite having had two incidents and loosing what would have been 3 years ncb

You'll find that one of the three major sites is consistently cheaper (confused.com is always cheapest for me), then give the cheapest company a call and they might do it a bit cheaper for you. Also, some companies to a 10 month policy which you get a years NCB after it.

ive done that 10 months thing with elephant as well but apparently you only get the 1 year ncb if you stay with elephant? and if you transfer to a different company at the end of the 10 months then you cant use it? only found out after i'd paid for mine...

Just bought it for £1300, from Aviva but through tiger.co.uk, 5 minutes on the phone to the guy asking information, bla bla bla, discounted it down almost another £100.

i know im not helping here but just thought id say that i cant believe you have bought a car without knowing what the insurance will be? ive heard people on diff types of cars been quoted anything up to 3k basically because they dont want to insure you, but if you get similar quotes its a very expensive car.

Im 21 with a Cupra and only paying £515 for 12 months. When I was 19 I was just over a grand for it so it seems your quote is a bit steep. As said get a few quotes from Elenphant/Admiral ect and play them off each other.
