just had an insurance quote for Ffion,as car will be sat on my drive until may 15th,but Sheilas wheels (yes Sheilahs wheels lol) have quoted me £449 comprehensive cover, 3 points sp30, 7 years NCD, 29 yrs old, driving 11 years.. and they are the same company as esure who quoted me just 30 odd pence more, but they together were nearly £300 cheaper then the next best being privilege. Happy as larry!!

Im just about to get a new one with with Admiral. 25 year old male, 5years no claims, no points. LC with stainless steel up to 10% increase power exhaust, with no claims protection. £685

no, but you might get a few bhp, and legally you have to tell the insurers about that. having a stainless steel exhaust added £10 onto my premium. having a stainless steel exhaust that is declared that it can add up to 10% bhp to the car was only £10 ontop of that. i would prefer to tell them it potentially adds power and pay £10 for peace of mind that they cant refuse to pay out

That sounds pretty good, I'm quite a bit older, I'm guessing a comparable geographical area, and had my first quote at £550.

Yeah, im guessing Reading is about average pricing. Also we dont have a garage so only have it down as on the drive parking. Would be cheaper if we had a garage

mines down as garaged and still quite dear. i guess shirley in southampton is quite a high risk area!

Mines garaged, i asked why is it still high if its locked in a garage, they said its cuz the area im in, i actually replied it wouldnt matter even if i was in Beirut, its in a locked garage!!! but £300 cheaper then the next cheapest...im as happy as a pig in s41t

Protected here too,i was thinking bout whether or not to protect my 7 years, but it was only £45 more for the honour, so didnt wanna risk it...

i never thought protected no claims was worth it. i've been driving 15 plus years and only claimed on insurance once. 15 x £45 is alot of dosh. more than the one claim would have affected my premium.

yeah but it depends upon your age and what your premium is. when your under like 26 if you lose a years no claims your premium will shoot up, if your older it wont make much difference.

also to protect my no claims its only £10 with admiral, so i would be mad not to!
