Intake manifold flap motor not adapting.

Hi, newbie here, have introduced myself in the new members section. Hope someone can answer this.
I have have had a scan of the forum and can't see an answer anywere for this, sorry if it's already been covered. I have a 2006 Leon TFSI sport engine code BWA.

I have just carried out an intake valve clean due to carbon build up and have also changed my manifold flap motor while the manifold was off as I had fault an issue with the old motor failing. The new motor is the latest level from TPS.

The problem is that I can not get VCDS to carry out an adaption without giving an error.
The motor is running it's full sweep ok with no 'sticky spots' and VCDS is showing voltage for top and bottom stops ok but I continually get an error once the process is complete.
Has anyone seen this before?
I am thinking that it may be an ECM calibration issue and that there may be a later level calibration that has increased driver thresholds to go with a later level motor. I did read somewhere that the later motor is bigger.

Any help greatly appreciated...Matt.

Hi mate welcome

What block are you using to carry out the adaptaion?

also when you turn your engine off do you hear the high pitched noise coming from the engine?

Hi robdf2!

I'm using block 142 following the instructions from the ross tech site.
You can hear the motor when 'key-ing' on and also see it move when running the adaption.

Thanks.
