ipod connection

My ipod connection wasn't fitted as ordered but the dealer has ordered the parts and will collect the car and fit them.

I've just put a Denison 100 in mine... there are many different codes, GW16V21 is the one I went for.
After fitting it read the instructions which have a nice picture of the SE-250 headunit.

It displays the song name and lets you browse using the headunit.

Things I'm not sure about:
- If it will shuffle through Albums rather than songs
- how long it takes before it turns off (I'd rather a flat IPOD battery than car battery ;-))
- if the steering wheel controls work (didn't try)

Overall it works out the box, but it'll be interesting how I feel after a long journey.

I ordered this with fitting from Connect My Car (which was £15 more than just the parts from Seat!) When you got it did yours come with the Min Din to iPod lead or the cradle, or nothing at all!?

I ordered my FR TDI with Bluetooth & USB and was informed by the dealer the cradle was required. OK I thought a bit of a rip off, but it has worked great, full Ipod functionality.

I've not got to the bottom of the power-off issue, to be honest it's not bothered me enough yet (I put the sat nav cables and in the glovebox and take the ipod out at the same time... only leave it for an hour or so). One day might get around to talking to Dension about it.

I got the Mini-Din cable to Ipod cable and some bits which looked like they might assemble to become a cradle... but the ipod just stays in the glovebox.

Does anyone know if the Ibiza Good Stuff comes ready to play the ipod or do I need to buy the additional adapter?

It says it comes with an ipod nano 8gb (even with an etched seat logo, haha) so I would guess i can play it without having to do anything else.

it comes with a nano? if it does them im guessing it should come with a cradle. though seat being seat will probably spring it on you, you have to pay another £70 for the cradle lol

It does come with the USB interface, Ipod cradle and the Ipod nothing more needed! My local dealer was very happy to tell me this when i was in there spending £80 on my Ipod Dock!

Not sure if it can be added later but my USB/3.5mm interface was faulty (as well as the ipod dock!) and was replaced by the dealer. The part number on the invoice is 6J0035342B if this helps
