I have the ipod connecter under my seat and all was working fine untill one day it just totally stopped working, at first i thought it was the ipod but now no ipods will work and im stuck with just the radio ( sat nav dosent read cd's), my question is, if i take out the ipod connection cartridge from under the seat can i just plug a cd changeger or is the connection tottally different?

Cheers!

I wanted to do the same thing coz i hated the ipod dock under the seat and wanted to change it for either the changer or usb dock, no use lol so changed the whole head unit

lol, i dont want to change the whole unit as i have the sat nav and really like the look of the dash, been trying to source a cd but to no luck :(. Had enough of the radio now so considering what other cd changers would work.

I have a cheap bluetooth phone kit i need to install as the bluetooth also stopped working all together. this thing plays music but only out of the front two speakers!

Could always get one of those cheap radio transmitters for your ipod, that should see you through til you can sort something. I use one and it sounds just as good as if I had it going through AUX

that might be a good idea i might try and get hold of one as a temporary fix, has anyone tried to install a parrott kit into the sat nav system?

56 plate so Car is not under warranty im afraid if it was I would of gotten the door sensors changed along time ago!!!

I have a parrot mki9200 with the idea of using it for both phone and ipod. however the sound from the ipod thru the handsfree kit was rubbish.

I used the x car link ipod connection from my mk5 golf, which worked with my mfd2 sat nav. it is great sound quality, just no song info on the headunit.
