Ipod nano 4 message saying no cdc when pluged in to car!

Hi All

I tried a friends ipod nano 4 a few weeks back in my car and it worked stright away. so i brought myself an ipod nano 4 as well. the ipod is working fine on its own and when I plug it in under the seat the ipod lights up as if the car recognises it there but when i press the cd/aux button I get the message no cdc. Any ideas why this is the case?

Have you tried to reformat or do a factory reset on the Nano. Sounds like a software issue.

Have you tried your mates again to make sure nothing else has become an issue in the car?
If your mates still works then it must be an ipod issue.

Have you both got the same generation of Ipod Nano?

I tried my mates again and thats also now not working so I guess its the car!

We both have an ipod nano 4.
