A mapped FR is what I'm comparing a standard R too.
The FR has a much better seating position and yes the R has much more spec but the argument is if you had an 07 cupra pre facelift with a trade in value of £6k would you pay £10K to go to an R and the answer is definitely not.
That's pretty much what I did with mine and it never lived up to the FR.
In my opinion the pre facelift car is better built than the facelift with much less rattles.
We are all entitled to our own opinion and that's mine and that's from doing 40k in an FR and nearly 20k in my R and modded both.

its not fair to compare a mapped car to a standard car

Compare mapped vs mapped, or standard vs standard

I said above i wouldn't change

but the OP doesn't say he wont map the LCR :cartman:

Back on topic keep the Cupra and throw the extra money at it

OK it's a bit academic now, but yes I certainly would remap to stage one on a LCR, made such an improvement over what I had before (not just the extra power) I'd be straight down the road to see Mr Revo :)
Didn't drive the LCR, wasn't any point, not enough different or better to make it tempting....

Just been reading through your thread and spotted you have said you would never have a renaultsport.

Is this due to already having one?

I used to own a renaultsport megane, I now have a cupra which is kitted like a k1 with all the extras.

If anyone ever asked me which car Ive had the most fun in driving and owning, the Renaultsport wins hands down. I did have a leon FR straight after the renaultsport and it didnt feel sporty at all after the renaultsport.

In reply to the whole thread I couldnt bring myself to sell my cupra and get a cupra r with the difference in money between the two you dont really get anything different.

Id just spend half of the difference on bits for your cupra and you will have a lot nicer/better car anyway and for alot less.

OK... suggestions taken on board..... just ordered a set of stainless steel trim finishes for the interior, so if I can smarten the inside up a bit.... off the bay from a helpful chap in Poland.....

Will post pictures once fitted

Looking to see what head units are about....
