Hi,

New to this forum and new to Seat, so I'm a bit of a newb.

I always seem to do this where I buy cars right on the swap over between facelifts/models and parts websites seem to disagree on what model my car is.

In the current case, I have just bought a nice red FR TFSI on an 09 plate, however, I see that 2009 was the facelift year.

How can I tell if I have the facelift model or whether it's a very late pre-FL?

Thanks in advance.

From what reading I've done on here already, this looks like a great forum and I rhink I'll do just fine here .

Does yours look like this, which is Facelift

Post a pic and someone will know instantly
Ok, due to have it dropped off on Saturday, so will wack one up then.

Tried finding one online, but as I bought it last week, they've take all the ads down.

Is there anything obvious I should look for?

I read one article saying there's a little badge on the front end, which mine has, but obviously this could have been stuck on like those awful V8 badges people buy from Halfrauds. :roflmao:

I think more like the bottom pic.

Mine had the terrible media centre.

Soon sort that out, just got a Kenwood DNX520VBT from eBay, so hopefully I'll bring it into this century.

EDIT:

So I found a pic of my interior that I'd sent to someone and looks like it's the Pre-FL.

The Stereo could be swapped out, I know I had that setup from that picture in my Pre-FL FR so I would go with Pre facelift, but the steering wheel is the biggest change as it shows in the picture.

Climate control, gear knob and the gaiter are all pre-FL items.

IIRC the knob, gaiter and the FR trim on the steering wheel are all much cheaper to replace on the pre-FL cars than the facelift ones, so silver cloud and all that.

Very good to know.

I prefer the gearnob and gaitor tbh, but do like the shape of the FL wheel.

Either way they seem like good cars for the money.

I think it will make such a difference having the Kenwood unit installed.
