Just posted these pics in SC16v's thread as i asked him to get pics of his headlights with the distance etc.

Since owning the car last April, i always thought my dipped lights hardly projected a huge distance on the road compared to my Peugeot 106 i had before. I shrugged it off and carried on but hated driving home at night.

Decided to change bulbs a few months hoping it would make a difference, it didn't. So bought OSRAMS hoping, again, they would and the results are still the same.

It might be me being fussy but i wanna know your opinions.

I've tried changing the height of the bulbs etc which doesnt make a difference only makes them shorter.

Not something silly like rolling that switch up/down so it adjusts the height?

edit nvm just saw your last bit

Lol thanks anyway though. Definately tried it plenty of times. They project a strange v shape from each bulb too.

Need techie to see this really i think.

That doesn't look right at all, you can only see a tiny distance in front of you :/ don't know how you've put up with that! Let us know how/if you get it sorted :)

I would take it back to your dealer and get it checked out, might be worth putting the original bulbs back in first though so they can't say that its down to them.

Yeah i might drop them an email Monday morning and see what they say. Thought that about the bulbs too!

Della i definately have been putting up with it for a long time, trust me...at night its horrible. I'm thankful when i can put the full beams on.

Decided to email my dealers now, attached the pic i took where i sit to illustrate my problem. I think after looking at the pics, its pretty ridiculous compared to SC16v's pics. Seems like i'm driving partially blind!

Let you know what the reply is.
Thanks for your comments guys :)

Don't want to sound patronising but are your new bulbs the right way up? The little tab on the bulb should be in the twelve o'clock position even though the bulb seems to fit better with it in the six oclock position, I should know made that mistake myself :) the difference was night and day!

Thats how the original bulbs were though with that amount of light being produced, i'll check them later if its stopped raining, but from looking at the bulb holder i thought they only go in 6 oclock position. I'll definately check though, thanks.

Right done this, so i'll see what the outcome is later tonight when i drive home if not i'll book into my dealers as they've got back to me.

Every time i had my car in at the dealers with the new side lights on they would mess around in the headlight as if they didn't know what they were. They denied doing so despite the fact that each time a huge amount of condensation would happen to appear when i got it back. The last time i had it i had to change the bulbs back after and found that the socket of the bulb itself was soaking wet with a pool of water below it....

Thats so bad what happened to the boc ^^ literally everything the dealers did seemed to make it worse for you!

Don't want them doing something big on mine if they just need aligning.

I think you might have solved my problem! If so, Seat themselves had put the originals the wrong way. [:@]

I tried to take pics last night, but the pictures didn't do any justice. Definately seems like a bit of improvement though. Wasn't pitch black whilst driving home but will defo try again when it is.

Thank you for that bit of advice!
