is this normal

HI all new to the forum and looking for some advice

just picked up the wifes new ibiza1.2 AC

its been raining all day and when i opened the drivers door tonight water was running like a tap out of the holes in the bottom of the door

is it suppose to be like this , i some how doubt it why would you let water into the door?

opened the passanger side and it was not half as bad but still some water coming out

Yeah it's normal.

Water gets down the side of the glass, its when it doesn't run out you get issues.

Yup all normal mate mine does it after a wash everytime

so will it drain with out openning the doors say like next week when im away for 3 weeks and its in the airport car park.? surley the door just doesn't fill up

It will drain out with the door closed. It's just as you open the door you notice it that's all.

Ditto - I really only use my car at weekends - and in some cases every other weekend because I live within walking distance of work and I've never had any battery issues.

I'd imagine there'd be a battery/alternator problem if your battery was flat after a week.

Happens to me alot. Its like after being washed it takes a giant wee. LMAO.

Dirty water is a bugger though when it gets in the door sills part and just rests and dries and looks lovely and manky lol.

Yeah when you wash the car i always make sure i open the door all the way open quite quickly and the water will come running out the hole then you just wipe it with your drying towel/leather.
