Wouldnt touch it, didnt work on mine. Do yourself a favour, spend 40 quid on a proper cable that works first time.... so frustrating.

the only ones i know of are the retail ones at www.gendan.co.uk

Although i have somebody's cable brought off ebay and does exactly the same thing, came from canada i think if thats any help when searching.

Would use serial also, USB doesnt seem to work properly plus i would rather a 3.3V spike not be put into my cars dianostic port

so whats the difference between

I dont under stand "dual K-line" and why it would be mopre expensive.
Obviously Id rather spend 40 quid than 70 quid...but I need to be sure of having a cable that will work on a 54 LCR.

edit: Also the above cables are listed as being ok to use with aftermarket HUs, is this the case? As it would save me a load of hassle.
