Hi, I own a 2017 Seat Ibiza, 1.0 TSI 95CV Xcellence.

Unfortunately someone broke into my car and stole the multimedia system, MIB2 control unit + 8" display, damaging also three cables, the central dashboard plastic cover and the central block of the air vents. Given that my insurance will not refund the whole damage, due to the application of degradation percentage on the components, i'm trying to repair the damage spending as little as possible.

The two components of the multimedia system should be 5F0035846C (headunit) and 6F0919605A (display). I've found them used from resellers, but it seems that they need to be coded to the master headunit of the car. Is this a thing that only the original Seat services can do or it can also be done by other centers?

Two conenctors of the LVDS cables to the headunit are damaged, the ones to be installed to the pink and yellow connectors, is it possible to find these cables online, or just replace the end connectors which are damaged? I've seen that one of this cables goes to the display (blue end connector), but cant understand where the other cable goes...

I also found the central air vents block used in good condition, but cant figure out how to extract the old one from the dashboard and which parts shouls i remove to do this, do you have some schematics or procedure to do that with basic, not professional tools?

I can upload some photo if this can help.

Thank you

Hello, i've seen that the MIB varies depending on the car trim. My car did not have the built-in navigator, so the correct MIB part number for my car should be the one without the gps antenna input.

I've found online different MIB models with the integrated GPS antenna input, which have a different part Number to the One associated to my VIN.

If I tried to install one of these, without using GPS because I don't have an antenna, could I have problems from the car component protection SW, coding the component to my car VIN?

Hello, thank you for the information, i'll look at the topic. At the moment I have no screen or MIB installed on the car, so i have no error message. I'm asking this because some car shop says that only original p/n associated to the VIN can be installed in the car, bit i dont know if they are saying this just to keep the business and procure those item by themselves, or if It Is really technically not possibile due to the component protection SW.

Yes, it's true, after installing the radio, you have to associate the radio number with the car's VIN and only the brand can do this, or you can purchase the license and install it through the ODIS software. If you do not have an alarm installed in the car, you can activate the door opening alarm.
