My Leon CUPRA 280 (MIB2 6P0) goes to an Age of 11 Years now. No Problems
except the Radio/Navi Display. The Display began around 2 Years ago to show "Polygons" of
all Sizes slowly increasing all over the Screen (looks like a defect Game). Then there came Lines
of all Types on Top (2s Gif Attachment where the Polygons are active). First Time when the Artifacts
appear they disappear while I drove and when I cold Start the CAR all was OK. Then after a while of Driving
it shows again. This goes a while. Now the Artifacts are always there even if I took out the Display/Head-Unit
for a Night.
I softly wagged on all Cables at the Head-Unit in the Gloovebox and the 2 Connectors at the Display, no Reaction
or Difference at the Screen. I completely disassemble the Display and later the Head-Unit to see if
there was an issue, nothing to see. Probably broken Ground Soldering-Joint's at the Head-Units LVDS Video-Connector ?
But these all 4 Ground's and One looks ok. I thing the GPU has a Problem.
Then a Week ago I drove to a privat Seller of the same Type of Display like mine. I test his Display ... the same
Display issues !! Now there is only my Head-Unit or the LVDS Video Line Cable itself to remain as the guilty
Ones.
The whole System (Radio/Navi/Menu) runs totally fine, only the graphical Output is odd, any suggestions ?
