Mit dem original 8" Display oder man baut sich ein 9,2" Display irgendwie ein.
Ich habe mir beide Lösungen angeschaut...
8" habe ich ein VW Unit getestet, Artikelnummer 3G5035820M.
Wichtig ist, bei TechnikSat/Preh/Joynext darf die Software Version nicht über 0332 gehen, sonst kann man das Gerät nicht patchen. Ich habe eine USB Lösung für CP Off und alle FeC Active.
Damit es auch läuft, gehören die online Dienste via Codierung deaktiviert.
Dann eben Codierung anpassen.
Ich finde die VW HMI einfach fürchterlich. Somit VW bei mir ausgeschieden ist.
Es gibt auch 8" Seat oder Skoda
Alternativ das große MIB 3 MQB mit 9,2"

Habe mir selber etwas mit dem 3D Drucker gemacht. Dazu später mehr.
Das Display aus dem Ateca, 9,2" Artikelnummer: 5FJ919606A
Das Ateca Unit ist von LG. Hier habe ich CP Off und alle FeC mit einer EEProm Änderung durchgeführt. Also Dump ziehen, ändern zurück spielen.
Achtung: bei SFD 1 Units alle Codierungen und Anpassungen vorher machen, bevor man patcht.
Was ist noch beim Umbau zu beachten, das der USB Port nicht mehr funktioniert. Das heißt USB gehört umgebaut.
Ich habe folgendes Material verbaut:
USB C Doppel Board, Artikelnummer 5NA035736
Die Ansteuerung erfolgt nun anders, die neuen Boards werden 5V vom MIB 3 versorgt und 12V vom Boardnetz. Die Datenleitung ist auch anders belegt. Entweder Stecker beider Seiten der Leitung bearbeiten, MIB Seite gehört 90° verdreht angesteckt oder mib 3 Leitungssatz kaufen:

You can use the original 8" display, or you can install a 9.2" display somehow.

I tested an 8" VW unit, part number 3G5035820M.
It's important to note that with TechnikSat/Preh/Joynext, the software version must not exceed 0332, otherwise the device cannot be patched. I have a USB solution for CP Off and all FeC Active.
For it to work, the online services must be deactivated via coding.
Then the coding needs to be adjusted.
I find the VW HMI simply awful. Therefore, VW is out of the running for me.
There are also 8" Seat or Skoda units.
Alternatively, there's the larger MIB 3 MQB with a 9.2" screen.
I used a Seat Ateca unit, part number [missing].
I made something myself with a 3D printer. More on that later.
The display from the Ateca, 9.2", part number: 5FJ919606A
The Ateca unit is from LG. Here I disabled CP and modified all FeCs with an EEPROM change. So, I created a dump, made the changes, and then wrote them back.
Caution: With SFD 1 units, all coding and adaptations must be done beforehand, before patching.
What else needs to be considered during the conversion, as the USB port will no longer function? This means the USB connection needs to be replaced.
I used the following components:
USB-C dual board, part number 5NA035736
The control method is now different; the new boards are powered by 5V from the MIB 3 and 12V from the vehicle's electrical system. The data line is also wired differently. Either modify the connectors on both ends of the cable (the MIB side needs to be plugged in rotated 90°) or buy an MIB 3 cable set:
