italian tune up, limp mode gone : )

It's been 3 weeks since I took my toledo 110 tdi for a 220 mile trip with a tank of v power diesel and a slug of Millers Diesel Power Ecomax. Since then I have a transformed car no limp mode. loads more torque and better mpg .

roughly half of the trip were on windy a and b roads where I gave her some beans. My missis has the car all week pootling around town which i reckon caused the turbo to soot up.

As i'm new to turbo charged motors (previous owner of 3 205 gti's) I take it that the turbo is driven by exhaust gases.

I've read a few posts saying that the 110tdi has a variable vane turbo that can stick causing over boost - limp mode.

was the spirited drive the cure or was it decent diesel and the additive?

it will be the spirited driving which fixed it up. should be a regular occurance to keep it healthy.
