My car is currently in at Seat Camberley for a minor 10k service (car is on 57k and had a manor at 47k) and brake fluid change. Seat it's fixed prices quote £129 for the service and £49 for the fluid change. I'm being told it's going to cost £189 for the service and £65 for the fluid change. They are listed as a participating dealer but don't seem to want to adhere to the participating prices. Anyone else experienced this sort of price mismatch?

so are you saying that i dont qualify for the fixed prices unless i go through the website? Sounds a bit strange to me. I even sent them an email a couple of months ago and they quoted me the fixed prices but now, it seems theyre not.

Sorry - no, the fixed prices should be offered by all participating dealers whether booked online or not. And, yes, Camberley are on the list.
The free Seat Assist cover is only when booking online.

Well I just spoke to the service manager and explained that the it's fixed prices were a far bit cheaper and low and behold i've been charged the lower price at a saving of over £70. Seriously pisses me off that as a customer i have to challenge advertised prices to get the best deal. Highly unprofessional and potentially
damaging to their reputation i'd say. I cant comment on the quality of the work but its a shame as i thought i'd found a trustworthy local service centre too. I'm pretty nifty with a spanner too and got lazy on this occasion. Me and the lads will be doing the brakes and discs next month i think!
