Seat Leon ECU & BCM Failure

Hi,

I've had my 2019 Petrol Seat Leon (~40k miles) for just over a couple years without any issues whatsoever. I got in one morning and my car wouldn't turn over (A/C and lights came on but engine wouldn't turn over). Battery was not the issue so I took it to Snows Seat garage where after 54 days they eventually handed back my car fixed. They claim that the ECU and BCM had failed but weren't able to explain how the ECU had failed. The repair cost me around £3k to replace the BCM and ECU. The car now works just fine but am keen to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar

  • Has anyone had a similar experience with their ECU failing without any proper explanation?
  • The price they quoted me is extremely steep - while I appreciate it is main dealer prices it still seemed extremely high so was wondering if anyone else has been quoted from a main dealer to replace the ECU

Many thanks in advance!
