Ive had the car about 4 months now and done a few bits to it so thought I would do a progress thread so here goes nothing......


I had a corsa D Sri in black I did a few bits to it and was very happy

I just got it how I wanted it.

A few weeks later I went for a drive with my mate to look at a car with him and noticed this beaut in a guys drive further down the street

I went to go and have a look as I hadn't seen an ibiza cupra mk4 before the guy came out of his house and told me it was for sale and told me it was a diesel.

That night I got home and sold my corsa D

and drive back to York the next day and picked her up I was I now was a proud owner of a IBIZA CUPRA TDI 160.

That was a very quick transaction!!!!

After a few days of driving a decided to go for a remap it changed how the car drive massively I was very happy.

I was driving home from work the next day and heard a funny noise coming from the front I pulled over and noticed I had a hold in my timing belt cover and could see half my water pump pulley had snapped off ,
I know I shouldn't of done it but I limped the car home as I only lived around the corner,
Next day I had the water pump and cambelt changed

I also noticed I had a little hole in my bottom boost pipe so I got that ally welded and smoothed, car was back together and drove fine.

My luck got even worse a week later when my turbo decided to go (I know I'm unlucky). But on the positive side the guy who did my re-map said he would pay half aslong as I would have stickers on my car and sponsor his company, so I thought yea why not.

A company called GP tuning made me a hybrid turbo for my car so I decided to fit it myself as I've fitted a few before.

Was quite straight forward to fit just not alot if room to move under the bonnet.

Fully fitted and went to test drive just need to get re-map updated.

Ye I knew a guy that would pay good money for my corsa so just sold it to him .

Next job before stage 2 map.

Straight through exhaust with all boxes removed and de-cat with just a tip welded on

Egr and egr cooler delete

not bad to say im only running 1.7bar of boost standard only runs 1.5 bar very happy with the result for now....

After that decided to spray the sides of the intercooler

thought it looks quite a good touch.
Even though the slam panel covers half of it haha.

Next job had to have map-tech decals fitted

They weren't on for long as they started to draw alot of attention to my car as in people would try race me all the time or drive like d**kheads around me to get me to chase them. So I removed them.

You've done a cracking job. No wonder the stickers attracted alot of attention!! I thought it would just be a nice window sticker or something... lol.

Last weekend I decided it was time for an uprated clutch that would take the power ceramic paddle clutch

Pulls sooo much better only bad points are is I had to drive like a biddy for 500 miles and it's a pain when you want to set off coz it just wants to pull of straight away rather than slowely, but it s a price to pay for extra power.

It took me a few days to realise that the door cards arnt standard haha

Should all be done in the next few months hopefully but defiantly before Christmas
