So I serviced the boc today.

Plugs already been changed so did the filters and oil. Damn but the car seems to be pulling soooo much better now. That makes me one happy man! :D

pollen filter? or air, thought you had a induction kit? ive done two oil changes and both were pretty black considering its only done 6k. and i use 5w/40. I think lol. how was your oil and what did you use?

Air filter mate. Oil was black, I was rather surprised tbh. 9500K on the clock I really didn't think it would be that bad and it was very thin too, not thick like oil usually is.

For what it costs, you guys with modded engines want to keep on top of oil changes. I will be doing mine every 3k and plugs every 5k. I have adopted this practice with all my highly modded cars and never had any problems. I would suggest the DSG oil is changed every 20k.

I have to agree with you mate. After seeing what the oil looked like last night I will defo be doing oil and plugs together at 5K.

Well, been ages since I update my thread, because I aint really done nowt to it! Went on the rollers at JKM today though as their rollers are meant to be as accurate as anything. vRSy was with me who is running stage 2 as well but with an induction kit and we were a few ponies apart.

Yeah it is mate. I was surprised seen as though REVO claimes over 230................ vRSy was with me too and put the skud on the rollers which is also running stage 2 but with the induction kit and got 214............................ so where is REVO testing then?

That is strange mate

I agree and trust me this car is rapid, well to me any way hahahahahahha Also looking at the graph you can see the power and torque curves are nice and smooth and pretty constant

Figures are just for willy waving in the pub to be honest! If stage two has made a notable difference on the road then it's done it's job! Some stage 1 rollers put the ibizas at 220bhp with v power! Crazy dyno lottery for sure!

these are quick little cars.... i think people worry to much about how many horses they can get.. yes i know more HP gives you more power, which is good, but i think they try to puss to far, just be satisfied with what you got ... REVO , SPORTS EXHAUST, and all the rest, hehehehehehehe...

Tbh ... I probably would have expected a bit higher gains with stage 2 and full sport exhaust. However, if the car goes well and you are pleased with it then I wouldn't worry too much about R.R. output ... and as said, different R.R. will give different results.

Nick I am trying to get a vid uploaded so you can hear the exhaust but the file is too big and the sound quality not great because of the fans there.

I thought stage 1 was at 215 alone, faulty read out me thinks or revo are chatting £$%£$"£"

when you add stage 1 remap it does feel quite a hefty bhp gain....

You'll find that jkm's dyno is consistent but is usually 20hp shy of most other dynos this is very much the same with some othe DD dynos, it's all down to the operators chosen way to secure and run the vehicle. This is very much the case with all chassis dynos, they can struggle to be realistic one way or another and your results will typically be based on how the operator chooses to run the dyno. Chassis dynos are a great way of getting an indication of power but the only way to guarantee accurate power readings is an engine dyno. Go to any maha/superflow/mustang etc dyno and you'll see massively varying results.

Thanks for that Carl. Yeah we had a huge thread anout this in the MK5 section. While I was surprised at the result I kept saying i am by no means disapointed with the cars performance.
