well ive spent 8250 in total, including the 53 plate ibiza 130, how much is a cupra tdi? not sure, but at a guess £11k?
insurance with mods declared is £1350 - cupra tdi £1700
so whilst im still a student, im sticking with my make-believe one...im not sticking a cupra badge on the back, coz its not, im not telling ppl its a cupra, coz its not.
cupra bumpers look amazing, thats the reason im doing it!! each to their own REDCUPRATDI. lots of ppl have done the same - and for those of us not yet in jobs to be able to afford a cupra...we have to make do

im not touchy....i feel the love haha!! I would love a cupra, and one day im sure i will get there...but for now, im happy makin my own...plus ma car eclipse blue...ya canny get a cupra in that...im lookin forward to it!!

Well i've been stripping my car of all its bits and pieces like the radio. Just can't wait. Could have had it sooner but they are doing the Cherished Plate transfer for me also. Will let you know j.a. kelly about meeting up sometime, maybe resurrect the Bolton meet.

you should have just put it on retention and then changed it once you were able to pick it up, costs the same and is a lot easier.

As for the Cupra debate. been there done that. won't do it again.
I wanna stay stealth on my new FR, I am just popping on my anthracite Cupra wheels with my big boy Brembo's and colour code the Side strips and change the mirrors for my Black ones. Oh and a remap.
Not messing about with anything else as i have my eyes on the rumoured 170bhp 2.0 Tdi Ibiza Cupra coming out end of next year, or a new Golf GT with the 170bhp tdi unit in.
plus it seems now , who has'nt got cupra bumpers, would rather go stealth to catch out the little boyos round my way.

nope saving cash this time, got my new insurance cert through today, with a note saying to coverthe difference for my ast 3 months of insurance is a refund cheque of £72. not bad, so the Tdi is costing me £72 x 4 ( £284) less to insure per year han the 1.8T. Bargain

If you going to go to the exspence of a custom remap it would be wasted without a FMIC.You might get a good bhp reading on a dyno when it is on a quick run with the engine cold but in the real world the small SMIC is CRAP plus put in tha factor of heat soak from the engine when it warms up and you will loss alot of the power.Ant FR said:
