Hello folks

This is my 3rd Mk2 Seat Leon, I've previously owned x2 Fr Tdi's, one mapped and one standard.

I've also owned a Jackson Racing Supercharged civic type R as well as a turbo'd one..... Oh and I've also had 2 nicely modded Astra GSI's.... One with z20 LEH conversion

Anyways onto the Leon.

I've always wanted a mk2 cupra, one for the sleek and subtle looks, the other for the tuning potential.

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago totally standard.

Upto now I have done the following-

Neuspeed P-Flo intake (will be making a heat shield for the cone filter soon)

Eibach Sportlines Springs (nice subtle drop)

Professionally Refurbed 18" cupra alloys painted Audi Daytona Grey

De-wipered rear.

Next Friday it's booked in at exhaust uk in Sheffield for a 3" turbo back de-catted with heats wrapped down-pipe and silenced mid pipe.

Then it's ready for a stage 2 map, i have stattler on my doorstep so I shall either be getting a GLAC or REVO map done soon as I can get booked in at statller's.

This is how my car looks as of now-

Couple of my old cars-

How you finding SEAT life? I still miss the Type R's!

(James@Touge!)

Hello mate

I recognise your name from the ctr forum.

I'm liking the Seat's in all honesty..... Not as raw as my old ep3's (as expected) or nimble but none the less a very good all rounder.

Now I have 3 kids (and still only 27 lol) I needed something a bit more spacious, it can be a family car one minute, then a hot hatch the next

I can't wait to get the zaust and map done, should be more fun with a few more ponies under the right foot.

Do you have a seat now?

I quite fancy another ep3 to use purely as a track car.

Yeah I'm in a 63 plate Ibiza Cupra now, with stage 1 REVO. Totally different kettle of fish to the Type R. They both have their pro's and con's really.

I think Type R's have character where the VAG group cars are a little watered down. Nice to have torque from 1500rpm though!

Don't blame you re: track car. I think about doing that daily!

Sounds good mate, nippy little things the ibiza cupra's are, especially running revo software.

I totally agree with what you say as well mate.

Take it easy anyways and enjoy the cupra

Looks mint with the wheels that colour....but get some seat centre caps for them lol

They are seat centre caps lol

I just told the bodyshop who sprayed the wheels to do the centre caps the same colour.

I just need to get some seat stickers now, either black or red

That's if I can get hold of any.

Thanks mate

I still miss my EP3 and would have another.
Leon's looking great mate!

Thanks mate

I really do love the cupra now it's lowered and the wheels are done darker

I like the fact it looks moody.... I nearly went gloss black with the wheel colour.

Glad I didn't now.

Oh and I don't half miss my old ep3's lol

Well I got my 3" turbo back fitted at exhaust uk today

Went for the De-cat option with silenced/resonated mid pipe

Heat wrapped down pipe & 3.5" slash cut tail pipe.

I think they've left the tail pipe on the back box to long, so next week I'm going back to have it altered to suit my tastes.

Oh and I'm booked in at Statller's on Friday the 8th for a stage 2 Revo map. Can't bloody wait

Better pics to ow over the weekend!

Today I thought I'd spray the front and rear Seat badges Audi Daytona grey to match the wheels and mirror covers that were done by JH pro paint.

I've also given the bay a clean etc-

I've also stuck in some fresh NGK BKR 7EIX plugs over the weekend

I'm booked in at statller's for a stage 2 Revo map on the 6th June as well which I can't wait for.

Before then I'm getting the standard back box put back on, I'm not a fan at all of how this cobra system sounds...... Even with heat wrapped down pipe and resonated mid pipe it's waaaaaaay to boomy for my liking.

So it's back at exhaust uk next week to get the standard backbox put back on..... They'll have to taper the 3" mid pipe down to 2.5" to mate to the standard backbox...... Will probably cause a slight restriction if any at all.

I'm tempted to buy a evoms intake as well before mapping..... Or I may just make a heatshield for the cone filter on the neuspeed, as well as heat wrapping the intake.... It's warm to touch after a run, some heat wrap should help keep the inlet temps down (I'd have thought)

I look forward to updating again once the mappings done

Like what you've done with the Seat. Luckily still got the keys to my EP3 and can steal the missus FR keys when we need the MPG

Well folks

Since last posting in this thread I've changed the exhaust set up as the 3" turbo back was to loud for my liking.

For now I have the 3" De-cat downpipe along with Oem cat back.... I'm VERY happy with this set up, sounds no different to stock low down, sounds nice and throaty when it comes on Boost.

If I can get a 2nd hand Miltek for a bargain I'll probably give one a try, if not I'll stick with this set up.

I was meant to be getting a stage 2 Revo map put on this Friday, however I'm going to buy a fuel pump before mapping now. So it's probably going to be another couple of weeks before mapping now.

In the mean time it's time for fresh engine and gearbox oil, I'll be ordering some miller 5w40 nano drive tomorrow along with some fresh gearbox oil.

Heat wrapped down pipe-

On another note I now have this for sale-

I Like seeing people taking care in there car and it rushing things, looks like a nice clean car, I was a honda man before I brought my leon, had 5 turbo ones and a ep3 too, there nothing like revving to 8500rpm and hearing it scream lo
