(Just for fun!) Crop circles on the bonnet...

Here's a lighthearted post for the new year, feel free to reply in any way!

Has anyone noticed the 'alien markings' that appear on the Toledo bonnet when it's iced up? It may actually be specific to the V5, but when the bonnet is iced up and white, and the car is running for a while, curious patterns appear where the ice melts. My first thought was that we were being invaded, and they were leaving marks on the bonnet like the bigger ships do in crop fields!

In reality it appears to melt where the creases in the heat shield are, but they're quite funky patterns! If it is peculiar to my car, I'll try and post a picture so others can share in the amusement!

Yeah I've noticed. Probably common to Leon's too. I guess it's to do with different thicknesses where the metal strengtheners (or whatever they are) run across the inside of the bonnet? I suppose they create slightly different temps across the bonnet?
