Hey guy's.

i finally got my hand's on a Seat Leon 1.4s in silver 51plate

Taxed till Oct 30th .Mot'd Till Feb 2011. For 1600.

Im just wondering if the engine sound's all okaii. .will post up vids once i got t 15 post's.

can anyone tell me some must check area's ?

The bodywork is immaculte for a 9 year old car.

Check your floors for water door seals tend to go

Get a jack under it and look in the usual places, by sills, arches, round the exhaust etc etc

does the 1.4 have an under tray?

make sure all your warning lights come on when you turn it on (some ppl like to remove the bulbs from the ones that light up)

is the coolant nice and pink?

Many thank's Guy's.when i pick the car up on friday evening ill give the seal's a check/...had a good rumaage underneath of the sill's and arche's...look's well looked after.

only prob i had with it is the high mileage off 122,000....howver a full dealer history and cleanliness of the bodywork and engine.all warning light's come on and go off upon starting the car.

Also has a 6cd changer in the glovebox...still has the radio cassete player.

If you go on gumtree (aberdeen) and type in seat leon.Its the silver one from new deer.

Still trying to sell my subaru impreza wrx sti k reg. to fund my rebuild of a Audi Wr Quattro 1983 Rally Replica .Im only 19:!!:$

Naa i think that the huy local to me...he's got a open chequebook of 100k to build a Wr quattro rally car. im doing most of the work ( welding, fabrication,engine rebuild Etc) by myself.

Fair play to ya mate I bought my leon on high mileage and it's ok minus a few common faults and old age probs now get on eBay and get a cupra engine for it

well i got the seat home today...and im absolutly chuffed

120k on the clock (Bit high). . HowverAlloy Wheel's. . Spare Wheel. 6cd Changer with replacement aftermarket speaker's

Timing Belt , Front wishbone. front and rear brake discs + pads. Coolant Flush + A freeze,Motec Oil. .Air and oil filter.spark plug's.new wiper blade's,new power steering fluid,new exhaust done in May this year. Aka Decent Service.

Bodywork is perfect...no rust what so ever. and no prang's or dent's.

Interior's clean . .not smoked in. . . Yet

What you guy's think...Really cant wait for ma test on November 14th

Get the V5 from a Toledo with a full miltek.........that was my plan before the ibiza on my 1.6 S Leon!

Well there Seems to be a constant stream of water into the driver's and drivers passengers footwell. must of scooped about 2 pints out of the footwell. . .Had the car coverd up well and truly with a waterproof sheet..yet still loads of water coming in!!..need to torx head screwdriver's to take of the door panels to see if it's the sealant gone. What else could it possibly be...as it's not long till my driving test and i dont want a wet seat everywere;(

Willl Get some stuff for sealing the door later 2nite. . . need tome torx head screwdriver's aswell to start.

sealed up the driver's front door yesterday....Seems to have stopped the leakage threw the door's there.

BUT!! found another leak!!..coming down from behind the accelarator pedal and the plastic footrest thingy next to it. had a search round here and cleared the drain holes of dead leaves and smush and shyte in general from underneath the wiper's.

also cleaned out the pollen filter aswell. Seem's like the leaking has stemmed a little bit...but there must be something else round there that is making me carpet's wet. Will update some pic's in a minute once i got to 15 post's.

I thibk i read about a known issue on bulk head leaks try these in a search

tried getting the passenger side wiper off.but to no avail...stuck in ****!! will get a better view of what's happening once that's off.got half a bottle of sealant left over so im sure i can use that on something usefu

Also do's anyone now were it;s best to get spark plug lead's from as one is in need of replacing so ill change them all?..Thanks
