thanks for the offer mate..but really couldnt do it as this is my daily driver for when i pass my test in november. im skint enough as it is lol. do's sound a quality bit of kit and will make it go like **** of a shovel.

Nice photos. I think those early alloys look far better than the ones the later 1.4's and 1.6's had.

cheerz mate...they just need a good clean now...btw are circlip pliers needed to remove the centre caps??with the 2 wee holes in them??..as there really gt no scratches.i dont want to damage them

mate that shark fin aerial is wack lol. mate of mine purchased it for his car and it was didnt give good signal at all, if ur doing it just for show and dont listen to the radio then you will probobly be alright, but then again it could just have been the way he fitted it or his headunit who nows. The only thing i would say defo get it tinted, im planing on geting myn tinted soon, with coilovers and hopefully some bbs 18s to replace my 17 wolfrace which look ok but could do with the car being lower cos i can fit a house between there if i tried.

Well i finally passed me drivingtest (first time with 3 minor's) woop.

few issues with the seat...Need 2 bottom door bolt's and one that goes in the door handle.

Also the heater switch that moves it from the window...to ur feet...and then at you..is bust....sound's like something's snapped behind it so it stuck blowing at me ...even if i do move the dial round.

apart from that all is well

Those issues don't sound too bad. Nothing wrong with a couple of things breaking on your car. It means you will investigate and end up learning more about the car in the end. How to take things apart etc.

Well Mot has come and gone...Broken passenger front Suspension spring..And Cv Boot..Also Need's Driver's Side Caliper..should get the car back on monday or tuesday! Woul buy the part's myself and fix them but need it done while im away on Raf duty this weekend..Cost me but mean's it'll go through it's MOT

Well might as well update this thread a tad. since i passed me test in mid Feb, ive done nearly 4000miles!!Yikes! ...She's held up quite well. Really bad rattle when idling or pulling away.Believe it's the car heat-shield. The original aerial broke a while ago..So fitted a *****-fin aerial,Look's okay . . Better than the original in my opinion.

Few problems so far i need sorted once i get back from RAF duty in England-shire:

Quite a difference in ride height.Low at the back...Excessively high at the front i think. Rear shock's look original one's .so might need upgraded.

No2 cylinder from the left seems to be eating a little bit of oil!!!! . .Getting oil inside the coil-pack and on the spark plug.

Few scratches here and there need tidying up...There small but really annoy me when the paintwork is in quite good condition all round.

So might be looking for another 1.4 16valve engine over the next few month's. . As this is the original one and it's done 125,000 since 2001. . .Been well serviced and looked after recently.

Excuse the parcel tape on driver's wing mirror. the front plastic surround is broken and rattle's like Buggery!!..Need another one..preferably in silver so i do not have to respray it..

Want's:

Paint alloy's anthracite grey, Black caliper's ( with Leon writing if possible) and new disc's all round/ LCR front bumper..when i have the money one day. Little bit of exhaust work ,K+N air filter to help breathing side of thing's...Not massive exhaust for noise...just loosen her up a bit so to speak.

Anyone got any of them bit's...Oh and also wouldn't mind Getting a VAG-com Check done . . Anyone round Aberdeen area got one?...Ill buy you a pint or 4 for your trouble's

Wee vid of the engine..Not sounding at her healthiest...Recently serviced as well.

Starting to think about looking for another engine. in good condition and refresh and drop into here.
