Hey guys,

After owning Mk1 Cupras for the past few years, I needed to find better economy and a generally cheaper car to run!

Took the plunge and have just picking up a 2007 2.0 TDi Reference Sport with 91,000 miles and full service history, and a full MOT history.

Has the BTCC kit fitted, although has two jacking point covers missing and rear tow eye cover.

Been lowered on springs, not sure by how much but tell tell sign of the springs being red!

Has a 2 month old hybrid turbo fitted with air intake modifications. Don't think it's been remapped though but feels incredibly strong for 140bhp.

Upgraded to new style steering wheel, I think the alloy may also be from a newer Leon, if someone could confirm?

Tinted rear windows fitted, HIDs along with LED number plate bulbs.

Also has a twin exhaust but not sure if from the factory or not? Again if someone could confirm that would be great!

Car overall is in very good condition inside and out, very pleased with it:) Although the idle does seem a tad lumpy when sat at traffic lights etc. And when accelerating rather hard it pours with black smoke! DPF removed I presume?

Looks like a sweet ride!

The alloys to me look like the new shape Leon's.
I believe the OEM exhaust for the BTCC kit is Remus and guessing would say it somewhere on the actual exhaust (worth looking at the tips to begin with).

I don’t think with the 140hp version there was a DPF - I had the same engine and was told only the FR170 came with the DPF. Had lumpy idle (if you're coming from a petrol car it would be highly noticeable) but that can be reduced with MAF/EGR delete I think; I just put up with mine. Im guessing you get the smoke and the howling owl hoot too?

With a hybrid turbo I’m guessing it would have needed a map to have it installed to sort of tell the car to adapt to the new turbo. - Maybe I’m wrong but all my pals that have had hybrids had to get them mapped.

The alloys are very similar to the Mk2 17s but these are a tad different so guessed with the newer steering wheel that the alloys were too.

Ahh because some Leona with the BTCC have the twin exhausts and some only have the single so wasn't too sure! I'll have a look at the tips and see if they have any branding on them at all!

Yeah I didn't know about the DPF and what models come with one but guessing by the plumes of black smoke under hard accelerating would presume the DPF has been stripped or didn't have one to start with! It also has a howl and chatter but thought it would be due to the turbo and air filter.

I hazarded a guess that it would have been mapped with the Hybrid Turbo, it definitely feels very pokey for what should be a 140bhp diesel! I might get it on a rolling road at some point and see what it's running!

The single centre exhaust is only on the Cupra K1 that comes with factory fitted BTCC kit.
the others come with the twin exist you have.

Yeah defo have the figures checked it would be interesting to see the power for a diesel hybrid turbo.

Oh right I see!

Yeah I'm going to find a rolling road locally and get it looked at in the next couple of weeks!
