i almost bought my car from there (1.6 ibiza)but the thing that put me off was that when i got a test drive there they gave me a car which some one had already bought. i dont know about any one else but to me that seems wrong if i buy a car i dont want any1 else test driving my car, as it is a TEST drive . needles to say i was nice to the car and got a test drive in the stirling seat and then bought from there.

Don't think I'd appreciate it if someone had taken a car I just bought out on a test drive either however I doubt this will happen with a factory order car....Or maybe I'll just set up camp outside there and make sure no customers drive it haha

Anyway I'm off to bed but I'll get as many pics and possibly a video of it too and post it up tomorrow night

well well well... I must say I'm severly Pee'd off so much so that I felt like cancelling my order today.

I walk in to the dealership at Linwood at 12.30 as agreed, only to be told that the manager had just taken the bocanegra out and wouldn't be back for...wait for it.. 4 HOURS

My salesman then really stuck his foot in it by saying "I mean I'm really sorry I actually forgot you were coming in"

I really wish he hadn't revealed that to me, anyway I was offered to come in later which I made the salesman aware it probably wouldn't suit me but I would appreciate a call to let me know the car was there to be seen.

He told me he would call around 3 o'clock to let me know either way if the car was there or not.

3 o'clock comes and guess what...no phone call

If my deposit was returnable I would have asked for it back there and then and went elsewhere regardless of the extra waiting time, so a note to the people that have their concerns about that dealership- now I completely understand where you are coming from.

I went to see my Dealer today after returning from my holiday. Great news, they are expecting to receive it in the morning. I have been told to go in tomorrow afternoon and sort the paperwork out. I should have it Wednesday if all goes well.

Woohoo

At Stu38, cheers matey, I looked at the Boc at the dealers. Myself and the person who sold me mine agreed to disagree about the rear spoiler, the car has a low profile and looks great without, but a front black splitter and some body coloured side skirts (not too big) would make the car look even more agressive. On this we both agreed.

Hopefully I do get the car this week and I will try and do a mini review (ZBOYD's was great), but I warn, I am only used to thrashing my current car, a Pug 306 - 1.6L 5 door. I drove my dad's 150BHP TDI Mondeo Estate once, so only expect an amateur's findings.

I just hope it does come, the current car is dying, drive shaft bearings are on the way and the electrics are beyond a joke.

Regards

Thought this would be a good thread to mention this in, did anybody else know that the large centroid exhaust on both the cupra and the boc is actually a twinpipe hidden away. What a cop out that is imo

I know, and where the trapezoid trim finished is exactly where the back box does. Defo a cop out, but I bet there's an exhaust specialist out there who could make it the exhaust it should be.

Also, the tyres are Pirelli P7's 215/40 R17s. I can't find these on the web anywhere.

Sat in a Boc this weekend - looked very nice in the flesh. Wasn't keen on the wheels, they should have been gloss black to match the rest of the black theme but wouldn't take much to change.

The interior was very nice and the seats were very comfortable

Still not convinced by the paddles and the huge excess you pay for the black styling, red paint and the bend over price on the brakes

If Seat had made the Boc a limited edition then it would be worth the premium

lucky people with your cars arriving soon! I'm definetly for the side skirts and spoiler especially the sideskirts!

I'm pretty sure I did my test drive in a car which had been sold (well, most of the car had been sold, it had three wheels and a space saver replacement!)

Oh well, they got a sale out of it!

Sat in one myself at the weekend, couldn't drive it because the showroom car was sold as soon as it landed.
I have to say I agree with all of the above. :)

I'm still not convinced by the alloys either though they will probably grow on me,as for the cost for options I think it's down to what you are prepared to pay and what you find expensive.

Yeah end of this month they are going on allocation only apparently. But.. they could be sales person speak. They are going to be limited to 1000 a year but TBH hot hatches aren't the biggest sellers. 1000 is too much.. unless that is worldwide.

I saw another pic of the spoiler on another thread from a different angle and I dont like the cut out for the break light. It looks too pointy. From the side its smart though.

I see what people mean about the alloys. In side on pics they look a little basic. I really like the alloys now after seeing them in the flesh. When you see them in person they look a lot more chunky. Will look even better with some seat sport 4 pots nestled behind :)

I prefer owning rare cars. Thats why I wouldn't get a Golf GTi, Sirocco or Civic Type R. They're so common. With the Ibiza Cupra you see them a lot less. I hope the same is true this time round.

The Leon Cupra R was touted as a so called 'limited edition' until it sold like hot cakes, and SEAT upped production accordingly to fill demand.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the Bocanegra becomes a little more common too.
