Have any of you good people fitted a K&N 57i cold air feed filter to a 2.0 TDI?
Just wondered if there's any performance gain over a K&N drop in replacement unit.
I fitted a 57i to a 3.0 V6 Laguna previously and it upped throttle response quite a bit, to say nothing of the induction roar (nice) when the loud pedal was introduced to the carpet! :D
ATB.

You won't feel any difference or have any gains using any aftermarket air filters on a diesel I'm affraid just noise benefits :)

Sorry I beg to differ.i had one on my tdi,and it made 194 bhp and 410 lb ft torque which was 10bhp over what I should have had! You could hear the turbo spooling too which may be a good/bad thing (I liked it!)
Major downside was the car smoked a lot more!

My mate who purchased the car off me didn't like it so took it off and went standard, and he also found a noticeable power loss, but less smoke! So its a trade off! :)

Sorry I'm sure diesels need more fuel for more performance not air like petrol engines?!
